Roofing Day in D.C. is the roofing industry’s yearly advocacy event, organized by the National Roofing Contractors Association. Contractors, manufacturers and distributors spend a day on briefings and then go to Capitol Hill to meet their members of Congress about the issues that affect roofing businesses.
The 2027 event runs April 6 to 7, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
Who goes: roofing contractors of every size, along with manufacturers, distributors, and the state and regional roofing associations that bring delegations.
What a metal roofer or fabricator gets out of it: workforce, immigration, tax and safety rules land on metal crews the same as anyone else, and lawmakers pay more attention to a contractor from their own district than to a lobbyist. If you have never done it, going with a state or regional association delegation is the easiest way in. Our trade show calendar lists the spring trade shows too.
Registration and the issue briefings are on the association’s site at nrca.net.
