About Find a Metal Roofer

Find a Metal Roofer is an independent, free national directory of metal roofing companies, paired with a homeowner education hub and a weekly trade blog. We are not a contractor, not a manufacturer and not a trade association. We built the site because finding a good metal roofer, and understanding what you are buying, was harder than it should be.

What we are

At the center is the directory: installers, fabricators, manufacturers, suppliers, roll former dealers and consultants, searchable by zip code, city and state, and filterable by company type, roof style, metal and market. Around it sit the pieces that make a directory useful. Homeowners leave moderated reviews. The homeowner hub explains styles, metals, cost, hail and wind ratings, warranties and how to hire. The trade blog, news snips, show calendar and market watch serve the people who actually put metal on roofs.

Who it is for

Homeowners who want a shortlist of real companies near them, honest reviews and guides written in plain English, without a sales pitch. Installers and fabricators who want to be found by those homeowners, own their listing, answer their reviews and keep up with the trade in a few minutes a week. Manufacturers and suppliers who want a place in the network where their dealers and customers can find them.

Free and independent

The directory is free for homeowners and free for the companies listed in it. Search results are ordered by relevance to your search, never by payment. We are not owned by a manufacturer, a contractor, a supplier or an association, and no company pays to be ranked, recommended or written about. Our guides, blog posts and news summaries are written by us, in our own words, and nothing in them is sponsored. The editorial policy spells out how we write, update and correct what we publish.

How the directory grows

Companies add themselves through a free account, and we review each new listing before it is published to confirm it describes a real metal roofing business. We also add companies from public business information so homeowners in more places have somewhere to start; those companies can claim their listing at any time and take it over. A listing marked Verified means we have confirmed the business contact, nothing more and nothing less. We would rather the directory grow slowly and stay accurate than fill up with listings nobody owns.

What we are not

We do not inspect anyone’s work, check licenses or guarantee a roof. We give you the information companies and their customers have provided, in a format that makes comparison easy, and we tell you what to check yourself: license, insurance, written contract, permit and at least three bids. The how it works page walks through that.

Contact

Corrections, questions about a listing or a review, press and accessibility feedback all go through the contact page. We read everything. Find a Metal Roofer is operated by its publisher and reached through the contact page.
