Plans add features to your profile, and the Emerald, Ruby and Diamond plans compete for the three labeled sponsor spots in map searches near them. Plans never change your star rating, your reputation score, the order of reviews, or how reviews are moderated. Sponsored and Featured placements are always labeled. Cancel any time from your account; your profile drops back to Standard at the end of the paid period.
The sponsor places in a map search
When a homeowner searches by ZIP code, city or state, a map opens with five companies. The first place is the Diamond Sponsor, the second the Ruby Sponsor and the third the Emerald Sponsor. Each sponsor place goes to the company on that plan with the best reputation score among those that serve the area searched and fit the service and roof type the homeowner asked for. When no sponsor serves the area, the place goes to the next best-ranked company. Places 4 and 5 are always earned through reputation, years in business and fit.
How we keep plans honest
- Ratings are ratings. The stars come only from approved homeowner reviews. Nothing a company pays for changes them or its reputation score.
- Paid placement is labeled. The Diamond, Ruby and Emerald Sponsor places carry their label on the card and on the map pin, and Featured companies carry a visible Featured tag wherever they are promoted.
- Verified is earned, not bought. Any listing can ask us to confirm its business contact for free. Diamond plans get it done proactively.
- Earned badges have public rules. Top Rated, Responsive, Established and the rest are awarded automatically when a listing meets the rule on the badges page.
- Cancel any time. No contracts; the plan runs to the end of the paid period and the profile returns to Standard.

Standard suits a company that wants to be found and reviewed, with its address, phone, website and up to three project photos. Emerald suits a smaller shop that wants its logo, a short bio and up to 8 photos in front of homeowners, and the Emerald Sponsor place in searches near it. Ruby suits most installers and fabricators: your logo, a company bio, a featured service and up to 15 photos, a quote form, and the Ruby Sponsor place. Diamond suits companies that want to be the first company a homeowner sees: the Diamond Sponsor place, up to 30 photos and a video, a long bio, up to 12 services, specials through the year and the Featured rotation in their markets.

Does paying for a plan improve my rating or hide bad reviews?
No. Plans add profile features and a chance at the three labeled sponsor places in map searches. Your star rating, your reputation score, the order of your reviews and how reviews are moderated are exactly the same on every plan, and no company can pay to remove a review that follows our review guidelines.
How does a company get a sponsor place?
Choose the Diamond, Ruby or Emerald plan. In each map search, the Diamond company with the best reputation score among those that serve the area and fit the request takes the first place, the best such Ruby company the second, and the best such Emerald company the third. Several sponsors can serve the same area; the others appear in places 4 and 5 when their score earns it.
What does Featured mean, and is it labeled?
Featured is a paid placement that comes with the Diamond plan. Featured companies rotate at the top of the home page and their state pages, and every one carries a visible Featured label so homeowners know it is a plan benefit, not a quality ranking.
Can I cancel, and what happens to my profile?
Yes, any time, from the billing link in your account. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then the profile drops back to Standard. Your reviews, listing text, services and photos are kept; anything above the Standard limits is simply hidden until you upgrade again.
How do I pay and is it secure?
Checkout runs on Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses. You enter your card on Stripe's secure page, and we never see or store your card number. You get an emailed receipt and can download invoices from the billing portal.
Is sales tax added?
Where a state taxes digital services or subscriptions, Stripe calculates and adds the tax at checkout based on your business address, and it appears on your invoice. The price labels on this page are before tax.
