Accessibility Statement

Find a Metal Roofer is meant to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, magnify the page or need strong color contrast. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. This page says what we have done, where we know we fall short and how to tell us when something does not work.

What we have done

  • Every page has one main heading and a logical heading order, landmarks for navigation and main content, and a skip link to the content.
  • Everything you can do with a mouse you can do with a keyboard, and the focused element is always visible.
  • Text and interface colors meet the AA contrast ratios, and nothing is conveyed by color alone; star ratings also appear as numbers.
  • Text can be resized to 200 percent and the layout reflows on small screens without horizontal scrolling.
  • Form fields have visible labels, errors are described in text next to the field, and no form depends on a timed response.
  • Maps are a convenience, not the only way to get the information: every map is accompanied by the same listings and addresses as text.
  • Nothing autoplays, flashes or moves without your action.

Known limitations

Photos uploaded by listed companies may arrive without useful descriptions; we ask companies to add them and fill in a plain description where we can. The interactive map comes from a third-party library and is not fully operable by keyboard, which is why the same information is always available as text. Videos embedded from a company’s own channel may lack captions. We are working through these and would rather tell you than pretend they do not exist.

Tell us what is not working

If you hit a barrier anywhere on the site, use the contact page or email [contact email] and tell us the page address, what you were trying to do and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We reply by email, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs to fix, not feedback to file. If you need information from a page in another format, ask and we will provide it.
