IIBEC, the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants, is the professional association for the consultants, architects and engineers who design, specify and inspect roofs, walls and waterproofing. It was formerly known as RCI. Its annual convention pairs a technical education program with a trade show.
The 2027 convention runs March 18 to 21, 2027, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Who goes: building enclosure consultants, roof consultants, architects, engineers and inspectors, along with the roofing and wall manufacturers who want their systems specified.
What a metal roofer or fabricator gets out of it: these are the people who write the specs on commercial and institutional roofs. A metal contractor or panel supplier who wants standing seam in more of those specs will find them here, and the education sessions show how consultants judge details, attachments and testing.
