The Metal Building Manufacturers Association funds engineering research on metal building systems, including the roof systems, panels and structures its members produce. Its Research Symposium is where that work is presented and discussed.
The 2027 symposium runs February 17 to 18, 2027, in San Antonio, Texas. The association had not named a venue when we checked and asks people to contact it for details and registration.

What a metal roofer or fabricator gets out of it: this is a technical event, so it suits contractors and fabricators with an engineering bent, and those who work on metal building roofs and want to know where the research on roof systems and their performance is heading.
