Teks Launches a Standing Seam Screw for Wood Decking and Framing

Teks has launched a standing seam roofing screw designed for wood decking and framing, aimed at both flanged, or nail strip, and clip-based standing seam systems. Residential standing seam is mostly installed over plywood or OSB, where holding power in thin sheathing and a low-profile head under the panel matter more than they do in steel purlins.

A screw built for that substrate gives installers a purpose-made option instead of a general-purpose wood screw. We cover what to look for in any standing seam fastener in a new products post on our blog. The launch appeared in Roofing Contractor’s October product focus on metal and metal accessories.
