RhinoRoof Introduces a High-Temp Self-Adhered Underlayment

RhinoRoof has introduced a High-Temp self-adhered underlayment. Metal panels run hotter than shingles in summer sun, and standard self-adhered membranes can soften under them, so many panel manufacturers call for a high-temperature-rated product beneath metal, especially under dark colors and on low slopes.

A self-adhered sheet also seals around clip and fastener penetrations and serves as the secondary water barrier at eaves, valleys and low-slope areas. We explain how to judge any underlayment for a metal roof in a new products post on our blog. The product appeared in Roofing Contractor’s October product focus on metal and metal accessories.
